Young Se Rang, UNESCO’s representative in Tehran, was warmly welcomed by Alireza Tabesh, the Secretary of the 3rd International Cultural Heritage Multimedia Festival, upon her arrival in Shiraz on Thursday, November 7.
Expressing delight at attending the festival, Young Se Rang noted, “For years, I’ve heard beautiful descriptions of Shiraz, which inspired me to participate in this cultural event.” She emphasized UNESCO’s readiness to collaborate and assist in achieving the festival’s goals.
Bohodur Nazir, First Deputy Ambassador of Tajikistan, also met with Tabesh, highlighting efforts in drafting joint UNESCO World Heritage submissions and re-establishing direct flights between Dushanbe, Shiraz, and Mashhad to boost cultural exchanges.
Tabesh underscored the festival’s role as a nexus of shared history and identity among regional nations, mentioning that this year marks the first inclusion of an international section, featuring 154 non-competitive works from 11 countries in the categories of photography, short films, and documentaries.
